Originally from Castro Valley in the East Bay, CA, I discovered my passion for chiropractic care at the age of 16. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship from Chico State, I expanded my horizons by studying abroad in Australia. That experience inspired me to explore beyond the Bay Area, leading me to pursue my chiropractic education in Portland, OR.

While in Portland, I found my passion for the sports side of chiropractic by completing a Master’s Degree in Sports Medicine alongside my Doctor of Chiropractic. These studies shaped my approach to integrating active care (rehab) into chiropractic care. During this time, I also participated in two service trips to Haiti and embarked on a 40-day solo journey to Thailand after graduation, broadening my understanding of global healthcare.

I returned to the East Bay in 2017 and began practicing chiropractic care, moving my practice from San Ramon to Berkeley in 2018. After gaining valuable experience at another clinic, I fulfilled a dream by opening my own practice in February 2022.

Outside of work, I enjoy Olympic lifting, CrossFit, snowboarding, video games, and catching episodes of my favorite show, Survivor. I’m passionate about helping my patients recover, perform, and thrive in their active lifestyles.

What Makes Us Different?

Traditional chiropractic care focuses on the structure of the body, particularly the spine and neck, and utilizes adjustments to heal misalignments in these structures. In most chiropractic dogma, when the body is properly aligned and balanced, it is in a position to facilitate healing on its own.

While spinal and neck manipulations have their place on the spectrum of rehabilitation, Dr. Espinoza and Elevate Sport & Spine believe in a more comprehensive approach based in active care, an evidence-based practice of long-term strengthening, flexibility and mobility work. In active care, soft tissue work and chiropractic adjustments are pain-relieving ingredients that allow YOU to begin strengthening and stretching your own body. In other words, YOU hold the power to help your own body reach its full potential of alignment and balance. With commitment, dedication, and hard work in following your rehabilitation plan, you may be surprised to discover how much your body is capable of. The only caveat is, the only one who can put in the work to make it better is YOU. There are no quick fixes or instant solutions. While physicians, therapists, and trainers are here to guide you through your healing journey, only YOU can show up for yourself to put in the work every day.
